Maybe Dr. McDougall can help me get Focused?


I love a good Bar-B-Que.....or a Sausage Pizza.....or a great piece of Grilled Salmon.

To live without Animal Protein seemed a bit extreme for a diet....but I have failed to stick with any other diet for more than a few weeks. Maybe I need Extreme?

My friend and former business partner (we owned a Thai restaurant) Hui and I joined 200 attendees at Dr McDougall's Costa Rica vacation to learn more about the health benefits of a Starch based Plant diet.......    http://www.drmcdougall.com/adventure.html

Dr. McDougall was featured in the documentary film, Forks over Knives and has been an advocate for living healthy based on a Plant Based Starch diet.





My starting weight 321 lbs.......  I really want to get healthy.....but it's impossible!

I want to get healthy and am willing to try anything...... I even decided to leave my cigars in Miami. I wanted to be courteous to the Yoga Foo-Foo"Health Freaks" that I would meet in Costa Rica.

We left the house for the airport without eating breakfast.....we're headed for a weeklong Vegetarian retreat......and I stop at the airport and eat a Cuban Sandwich....Pork & Melted Cheese.....on the plane they had a salad with a chicken breast.....and I poured the Olive Oil dressing all over it.... becasue we all know that Olive Oil is healthy!!!

No Cigars, No Booze, No Animal Protein.....for a week.  I survived on fruits, veggies, beans, pasta, and rice!  I accomplished the IMPOSSIBLE!   A week as a total VEGAN!!!

Wow..... I was amazed at all the things I learned from Dr McDougall. I stayed true for the week....eating only (and as much) of the Dr. McDougall Starch based diet..... and I lost 5 lbs.
