Time to try a new routine..... Eating healthy?
But what is "Eating Healthy"?
People can call themselves "Vegetarians" and eat nothing but Potato Chips, Twinkies, and Coke.....it doesn't make them healthy.
I started by slowly.....at a slugs pace....easing into this new world of eating healthy!
I tried to avoid Fast Food, although my car seemed to turn into drive-thru lanes from time to time.
I tried to eat more salads......but was pouring fat dressing or Olive Oil on it.
Even eating Veggies at home....or bread at a restaurant got drenched in Olive Oil.....because everyone knows that the "Mediterranean Diet" is healthy and they pour Olive Oil on everything.
So I am not really losing any weight....My Personal Trainer and Life Coach both want to shoot me....and I am still around 325 lbs.
I tried to get re-motivated by bringing my Mom & Dad and friend Peter to see the movie, Forks over Knives.... It charged me up for a while.....but it died off again.
In fact the movie had such an impact, I purchased several copies and handed them out to my friends and business associates..... It's funny, I handed a half dozen copies out...I can't remember who I gave them to, and no one ever mentions it to me.....so they must have brought the copies home and never watched it??? And no one has ever returned a copy thanking me??
I thought it was this great big impactful movie.....and my fat, sick friends don't even take the time to watch it!
My personal journey back to Good Health! After seeing too many friends get sick with Diabetes, Heart Disease, Gout, Arthritis, Cancer, and DEATH!....I have decided to get healthy again! My Goal is to lose 100 lbs. by changing my nutrition focus based on Dr. McDougall's Starch Diet. Fruits, Veggies, Grains, Nuts, and Legumes....Increasing Exercise, limiting Alcohol, and eliminating Animal Fats Proteins... No Dairy, No Meat, No Eggs, No Fish, nothing processed...and No Olive Oil!

The Nutritionist develops the "perfect" diet?
The colonic cleansing was great....but the weight loss is temporary. Unfortunately, I went right back to my old bad eating habits.....I purchased some cigars, drank wine with my Bangkok friends, and ate way too much food.
When I returned, it was time for my annual physical. After seeing the scale, my Doctor suggested that I meet with a nutritionist to develop a plan to lose weight. He was concerned that my Blood Sugar was getting a little high and that it might be a good idea to prevent diabetes. My peak all time fattest weight was 341 lbs.
I met with a Certified and licensed Nutritionist at Broward General Hospital. She recommended a diet that had been approved by the "Heart Surgeons" at the Hospital......it was basically a variation of the Atkins High Protein and Low Carbohydrate diet called....the South Beach Diet.
Hi-Ho-Hi-Ho......another diet we go.....
