Over-eaters Anonymous

According to AA's cousin, Over-Eaters Anonymous, you must hand over your life to a Higher Power?

No...No....No

I could never agree with their basic premise. I am in control of my life....yes my eating is out of control, but it is up to me to get it in control!

So I tired and failed again.....I went to (6) meetings and met some really nice people. Some of them have been very successful with the program, but I felt it wasn't right for an atheist heathen like me.

Gluttony is one of the Seven Deadly Sins...and although obesity will have serious health affects...it's hard for me to think of it as a sin....and only God can help me.

Didn't God make me perfect? Didn't God put the food in front of me.

I am perfect fat guy.....I try to be nice to people...I try not to hurt people....and I don't believe in God....so how can a Higher Power that I don't believe in help me?

They tried to make me focus away from God and call it something else.... A tree...a Mountain....the Sun.....and call it a higher power......What?  It's either God or it's not.....Please!!!
