Junk In, Junk Out

Wake up America......before it's too late!

Why aren't we screaming and protesting?

Why isn't our government protecting us?

Government is the problem....we are being regulated by the corporations that sell us Dairy, Beef, Poultry, Farmers.....Nabisco, Kellogs. McDonalds, Coke, Pepsi, Lays, Little Elves in Trees that bake sugar and fat filled cookies, cakes, and chemicals!!!

The Processed Food Industry now accounts for 70% of the calories that Americans consume annually.
Because of this, about 1/3 of Adults are clinically obese (67% are considered overweight), and about 20% of Children are obese, with about 1/3 being considered overweight.  It is estimated that by 2020, it will cost the US healthcare system 1 Trillion per year, just to treat obesity and its related diseases.

This pandemic of obesity is not something that just happened. The Processed Food Industry has deliberately made this happen and you are their victims. Because of this obesity crisis and the growing trend of more and more unhealthy food being consumed, we have created a diseased culture of totally preventable diseases (i;.e. Diabetes, Heart Disease, Cancer, Alzheimers, etc.). This is detroying people's lives, and it is also literally destroying our country.  You owe it to yourself and your family to make sure you avoid becoming one of these statistics by avoiding these foods and that, instead, you are fueling your body in a healthy way, so it can function as it was meant to.

Currently, The United States spends 2.7 Trillion on healthcare costs, and 300 Billion on Pharmaceuticals, yet despite spending more on medications and overall healthcare than any other country, the United States is actually 50th in Life Expectancy. Even worse, according to s recent CNN documentary, 30% (750 Billion) in healthcare costs actually does nothing to improve health. However, we continue to remain a culture that focuses on "treating" symptoms of disease, rather than "preventing" it, creating a country of chronically ill, drug dependent people. Yet, 75% of ALL degenerative diseases are completely preventable with lifestyle changes. Believe me, this in no accident. The Healthcare Industry, just as The Processed Food Industry, knows exactly what they are doing and are spending 1.1 Billion per year in lobbying to make sure this trend continues. The reality is: There is no money in health. The money is in keeping people chronically ill and dependent upon the healthcare system for as long as humanly possible.

However, with rising health insurance costs, some forward thinking CEOs are already starting to take action. As a CEO, are you doing everything you can to help your employees get healthier, increase productivity, reduce your healthcare costs, and improve your bottom line?

According to the Wall Street Journal, corporate spending on healthcare insurance is expected to reach an average of $12,136 per employee this year and 70% of these costs are directly related to chronic conditions brought on by lifestyle choices.  In fact, according to a 2011 Gallup poll, obese and overweight employees miss an average of 450 million days of work a year, compared to healthy employees, and cost corporations $153 Billion in lost productivity. For those CEOs who don't think a company wide healthcare program is a worthwhile investment, you might want to rethink your business strategy!  And this wake up call is not just about employers.  Companies are now starting to require healthcare assessments that will directly impact what each employee pays for healthcare, may impose penalties, and may, in fact, cause overweight and obese people to lose their job, or even worse, not even be considered for employment.

YOU are the only one who can make a difference. YOU can escape this paradigm. Think about what this could mean for the long term health of your family, your business, and our country if we begin to make the lifestyle changes?n

I am starting week 11...... A Vegan for 11 Weeks?  I don't miss the food at all, I've lost around 20 lbs, and I truly do feel better..... Is it too radical? I feel that I really want to lose 100 lbs and live to be 90 years old without diseases or being wheeled in a wheelchair, and without medication and/or surgery..... If anyone has a better suggestion....let me know... Besides, I am really enjoying the new healthier foods and want to wear normal size clothes again!
