SEE - Significant Emotional Event - I completed my first year as a Healthy Plant eating Vegan in 2013. I attended Dr. McDougall's Starch Based diet and started exercising a little more.... Getting off the easy chair occasionally!
The results... Although my goal was to lose 100lbs......I lost around 25lbs in 2013.....Yippy!
The bad news.... When my brother was hospitalized I started eating unhealthy! Yes, and unhealthy vegan. Let's face it, you could eat French Fries and drink Coke and call yourself a vegan? I started eating more refined carbohydrates....Breads, Pastas, Pizza's, Garlic Rolls, Bagels and washing it down with Veggie Juices (aka Sugar Water).... In January, I started feeling sick and went to see my Primary Doctor.....the blood results showed that between the stress, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise and OBESITY.....I have become a DIABETIC TYPE 2.
I felt like crap and started eating meat, eggs, fish, and just about anything I thought would help stabilize my blood sugars.....
With the help of Modern Medicine ....and it's side affects....I have started controlling my blood sugar.
It is going to require an incredible effort.....sugar is everywhere!
I'm down another 10 lbs......Just need to focus on Diet & Exercise!!!
