I like to bitch about stuff! I have been driving on I-95 for 40 years in South Florida.
For the last 20 years from Miami to Fort Lauderdale .....and it has taken its toll on me.
I used to love driving. I'd listen to my cassette mixed tapes, than AM Radio (Neal Rogers), than CD's, than XM Radio, than I-Phone Podcasts, now back to AM Radio. It was my escape time. It was thinking time, it was meditation. Now it is hell! I have grown to hating the drive.
Add to the stress of driving, I am not happy with work.
I am the owner of a small company that employes my cousin, my best friend, my aunt, and my brother.
Because of the relationships it is very difficult to manage..... I am too close to everyone.....
So after years of stagnation and small profits (and no salary for me)....I decided to bring in a business consultant to help me improve business. An outsiders fresh look and input...new ideas, new methods, and maybe a complete transformation!
After meeting with Tim Levy for a day, his advice was to either fire everyone and start all over with new employees...or sell the company......So I sold the company to the employees. Instead of selling the company for more money.... I decided to help out the guys that built the company and sold it to them for a discounted price...and even helped them with financing.
It really is a Win-Win..... I reduce my "stress"....and they get a great company and can grow it and build their dreams!
The only problem....I no longer have company health insurance.
For the first time in my life......no Heath Insurance!!!
But I am a step closer to finding happiness.
